Medical disclaimer

X-Ray Atlas is an educational resource. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not create a clinician–patient relationship. Do not use any content, quiz answer or AI output to make decisions about a real patient, including your own health. Clinical radiographs must be reported by a suitably qualified professional with access to the clinical history and comparison images. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Intended use of the AI interpreter

The AI X-ray interpreter is intended solely for education and training: to help learners practise a systematic approach and discuss possible findings. It is not intended for diagnosis, triage, screening, monitoring or treatment of any patient, and is not a medical device. Its output may be incomplete or wrong. By using it you confirm that you will not rely on it for clinical decisions, and that you have removed identifying information from any image and have the right to upload it.

Acceptable use

  • Don't upload images that identify a person, that you don't have the right to share, or that aren't medical images.
  • Don't attempt to overload, scrape at scale, or bypass rate limits on the site or the AI tool.

Content and images

Text and design © X-Ray Atlas unless stated otherwise. Radiographs are used under the open licences shown with each image; where an image is ShareAlike-licensed, our adapted version is available under the same licence. See image credits.
